The story
The owner's younger sibling runs a burger restaurant in Yangyang. After learning its recipes and sauce-making techniques, the owner opened Beach Burger in July 2020. The location mattered as much as the menu: close to the sea, along a lane where people walk past. It is an easy place to fold a burger stop into a day at Sokcho Beach.
What they stand for
Good ingredients come first: fresh vegetables, patties made from fresh meat, and careful attention to the ingredients going into each burger. The owner works with a specialist vegetable supplier and buys suitable alternatives locally when needed. The recipes come from the sibling's kitchen in Yangyang, with the same focus on a burger that tastes good from the first bite.
Behind the signature
The Hawaiian Burger pairs a beef patty with sweet pineapple for the owner's favorite sweet-and-savory combination. The other interview highlight is the shrimp burger, listed on Naver as Garlic Shrimp Burger: whole shrimp, a handmade beef patty, and American cheese together. For a bigger stack, the American Double Cheeseburger has two beef patties and two slices of American cheese; the Triple Cheeseburger takes the beef-patty count to three.
Local tip
Find Beach Burger on the first lane by Sokcho Beach's south entrance, at 17 Saemaeul 13-gil. Naver describes the beach as about a one-minute walk away and lists a nearby free public car park. Takeaway is available. Monday is the regular closing day, and weekday last orders are at 17:30.
For travelers
The owner has noticed a gradual increase in international visitors and remembers enthusiastic thumbs-up reactions to the burgers. Familiar burger names help with ordering; for requests to leave out ingredients, a translation app bridges the conversation. The menu board includes English item labels, while this guide adds descriptions and Korean names to point to at the counter.
