The story
After moving to Sokcho in 2021, the artist tried surfing and began picking up shells during days by the sea. The first mobiles were made for home. Five pieces placed in another local shop showed that people wanted to take a bit of that coastline home, too. After three years of markets and consignment, she opened her own shop in 2024.
What they stand for
At first, she looked for perfect shells. Then she noticed that broken edges and small differences in color gave each piece more character. Resin helped her turn fragile finds into everyday objects, but the pleasure remains the same: each new combination comes out differently.
Behind the signature
The collection grew from mobiles to shell magnets, mirrors, phone cases, trays, keyrings, and more. Paper goods use photos and illustrations she made herself. A customer once even asked her to sign a magnet — a small moment that made the work feel seen as her own creation.
Local tip
This is a basement shop, so find Hoh & Ant cafe at 3940 Donghae-daero and follow the sign downstairs. Sokcho Beach is around five minutes away on foot; Naver Place asks drivers to use the beach public parking area.
For travelers
The pieces are an easy way to carry home a specific memory of Sokcho's shore. Shapes and colors vary from one shell to the next, so browse the actual pieces rather than expecting identical stock. The separate Custom Zone lets adults make their own resin piece by reservation.
