Step into a small old house near Sokcho Beach to see handmade lights, mobiles, and art objects created at Aurora Dance's Goseong studio. Some pieces begin with materials found along the coast; each is made by hand and a little different. Browse freely, or make a small light or object of your own in a hands-on session.

Pro tip: The Sokcho house opens on weekends, with a break from 18:00 to 19:00 before its evening opening. ## Story

### How it started
Aurora Dance means the dance of light. After moving from Seoul to Goseong, the artist watched light shift across the sea, mountain ridges, and sunset and began bringing that movement into her lamps. Years of working alone in a Goseong studio led to a second home for the work: an old house in Sokcho's Saemaeul-gil where people can encounter the pieces in person.

### Philosophy
The artist's phrase is '내가 나랑 놀아요' — 'I make time to play, just for me.' Making things by hand became a way to let go of fixed ideas about who she had to be. The Sokcho house carries that spirit: a place to slow down, listen to music, follow a small curiosity, and enjoy the work without needing to buy anything.

### Signature
The room holds handmade lights, mobiles, and small objects made in the Goseong studio. Some give coastal finds or leftover materials a new life in light and movement. Because the pieces are made one at a time, even similar objects have their own character.

### Finding the place
Find the old house at 4 Saemaeul 4-gil, a short detour from Sokcho Beach. It opens twice on Saturdays and Sundays: 11:00–18:00 and 19:00–21:00. The artist may change opening dates, so check Instagram before setting out.

### Seasonal notes
Creative sessions invite visitors to draw with light and thread, make a mobile, or turn an album cover into a lamp. Short experiences are available on arrival when the studio can accommodate them; regular and group classes require advance booking.

### For international visitors
You can come in simply to look, or try a short making session when one is available. The lights and mobiles offer another way to remember the coast, through the artist's sense of play rather than a standard souvenir. Ask about a piece if it catches your eye; availability and prices vary by work.
