Dongmyeong Port is a major harbor area beside Yeonggeumjeong and Sokcho Lighthouse Observatory. It is one of the easiest places to connect sunrise views, working fishing-port scenes, seafood restaurants, and Sokcho's northern coast in one short walk.
Pro tip
Build this into a compact route: Yeonggeumjeong Sunrise Pavilion, the Sokcho Lighthouse area, Dongmyeong Port, then Lighthouse Beach or the market side depending on time. Do not depend on indoor lighthouse access for the route to work.
